EMERGENCE (2022 - )
This project began with an overexposed image of a wooden structure on a Mexican beach. Like a mirage, it seemed like the structure was coming into focus out of a blinding light. This led me to think of dreams, where images can come into focus alone or as part of a visual story and then recede. I started looking for amorphous, ambiguous or primitive forms to photograph that would suggest something similar. I want to invite the viewer to do the work of getting oriented and interpreting the mysterious images in their own way
