In this series of composited images, I have combined NASA photographs with illustrations drawn from 1940s and 1950s sci-fi comic books, stamps from around the world depicting space exploration and archival prints and contemporary illustrations of space. What happens when you combine the imagined views of space from decades ago with contemporary images captured by NASA orbital and ground-based telescopes?  The resulting collages aim to create a playful dialectic, a dialogue across time and imagination. Archival images in this series were sourced from the NASA website, PICRYL and Internet Archive public domain media search engines.
