In this series of composited images, I have combined NASA photographs with illustrations drawn from sci-fi comic books from the 1940 and 1950’s, stamps from around the world depicting space exploration, and archival prints and contemporary illustrations of space. The resulting collages aim  to create playful integrations of illustrators’ imagined relationship between mankind and the heavens, and contemporary photographs of deep space and celestial bodies. Archival images in this series were sourced from the NASA website, PICRYL and Internet Archive public domain media search engines.
